What do you have to do?
The Health and Safety Executive states that where Respiratory Protection is used, it must be able to provide adequate protection for individual wearers. RPE can’t protect the wearer if it leaks. Fit testing should be conducted by a competent person who is appropriately trained, qualified, and experienced.

Any person required to wear respiratory protection as part of their job role.

Face Fitting will ensure that the respiratory protection issued to your personnel fits correctly.
What to Expect
Participants should be clean shaven. Each type of RPE that the person is required to wear should be face fitted to the person and as such it is necessary for these different types of RPE to be present for the face fit testing.
The person being fit tested will be required to wear the RPE and an enclosed hood, a perfume will be sprayed into the hood and a good fit will be established if the person cannot detect the fragrance of the perfume.
Certification
On successful completion of this course, candidates will be issued with a face fit test report.
